“I’m after the soul of the commonest objects—road flattened metal, crushed springs, misplaced eyeglasses, that merged with paint guides my attempt to defamiliarize the world. My inspiration is pedestrian because so much already lies at my feet. I believe “nature” and “man-made” are an unnecessary even false opposition that fuels my love of cities. Cities as a fact of nature and a mirror image of the sea. Both giants are restless, giving, and treasure filled.”
