“Behind the twisted poses hides Nietzsche’s dictum, to make one’s life into a work of art. We aim for the stars and more often than not we crash, (e.g. we hope and we fear, we laugh and we despair, we love and do harm -very often at the same time). We are strange beings suspended between gravity and grace. Always falling, always trying again. This fleeting in-between, this fragile balance is what the contorted poses are meant to represent, the precise point where we don’t know anymore if we’re flying or falling. And just in case we discover it is the later, what better way to go down than in style.”
